The Outer Worlds Radio Free Monarch Complete Quest Guide

Navigating the treacherous terrain of Monarch is one of the most critical mid-game milestones in The Outer Worlds. The main quest titled Radio Free Monarch tasks players with establishing a reliable link to the Information Broker so Phineas Welles can acquire essential data. Completing this operation requires balancing local faction rivalries, finding reliable guides, and storming heavily guarded radio towers.

Locating Nyoka and Securing Her Services

Your journey begins in Stellar Bay, where you must seek out a seasoned hunter named Nyoka at The Yacht Club. Upon finding her, you will discover she is severely hungover and needs specialized medication before she can assist you. Completing the short quest Passion Pills will clear her head and permanently recruit her as a valuable companion.

Ascending Devil's Peak and Clearing the Station

With Nyoka guiding your path, make your way toward Devil's Peak Station in the center of Monarch. The route up the mountain is crawling with dangerous Manti-creatures and hostile marauders. Once inside the station, clear out the invading forces and use the intercom to speak directly with Hiram Blythe, the Information Broker.

Resolving Faction Conflict Between MSI and Iconoclasts

Hiram will inform you that rival broadcasts from Stellar Bay and Amber Heights are actively jamming his long-range equipment. To resolve this issue, you must complete side quests for Sanjar Nandi of MSI and Graham Bryant of the Iconoclasts. Finishing these assignments removes the signal interference, allowing Hiram to focus on transmitting the critical data.

Jumpstarting the Tower and Reporting Back

After stopping the local broadcasts, step out onto the relay platform to flip the manual power switch. Restarting the antenna triggers dramatic narrative events across Monarch, leading directly into the next major regional storyline. Finally, return to Phineas Welles in his laboratory to deliver the information and receive your navigation reward.
